Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Billing Specialist position is to ensure accurate and timely processing of all patient and insurance billing, follow-up and correspondence for University Hospital.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certification required. Three (3) years of progressively more responsible clerical experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a physician’s office, hospital billing office, or insurance company, which involved billing and collection or medical insurance activities. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. Prior experience functioning in a computerized environment is required.
