What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director IST position at University Hospital?
Works closely with the Directors in developing a high performing IST (Information Services and Technologies) department by creating an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of people, facilitates cooperation and teamwork. Recommends and oversees the implementation and support of ERP technologies including software used to manage day-to-day business activities such as HR needs, procurement, and supply chain operations. Collaborates with financial, business and clinical leaders and other hospital groups to plan upgrades and enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. A minimum of seven (7) years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least three (3) years of management, supervisory or team leadership experience. Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes. Demonstrates a strong understanding of information systems, business processes, key business drivers/measures of success, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and technology. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead strategic organizational change, lead people toward meeting organizational vision/goals and customer expectations, make high quality decisions, build strong coalitions, form strategic partnerships with business leaders, influence senior management and key stakeholders, and manage human, financial and information resources strategically. Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment required. Knowledge of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment preferred. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
