What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel-RN-Management position at University Hospital?
Certification Details
RN, BSN Preferred - will take ADN with extensive COMPLEX Care Mgmt experience
Must be RN Case manager with 5 years Acute Care Management experience with NO LESS THAN 1 YR previous experience in a Level 1 and/or large academic Medical Center hospital
Will cover all Adult Inpatient units throughout the hospital - must have experience in multiple inpatient units
Level 1 ER experience is a PLUS
EPIC Charting Proficiency is REQUIRED
Job Requirements
- BLS required
- CCM preferred but not required
- 5 years Acute Care Management experience
- 1 year previous experience in a Level 1 and/or large academic Medical Center hospital
Schedule Information
M-F 8-430p
No Weekend requirement
Holiday Requirements: Rotated as needed
Unit Specific Information
Department Specific Orientation: 2 weeks (will include general facility orientation)
Will work alongside CM team so will never be working alone
Additional Details
- 50 MILE RADIUS RULE FOR TRAVELER
- Will accept LOCAL - contact Acct Mgr for rate
- FLU VACCINE IS REQUIRED at UMMC - only medical exemption is allowed and requires documented evidence from a health care provider of a past severe reaction to the vaccine
- Common types of patients & job duties: Medically and socially complex patients that require some 'out of the box' thinking to get them moved
- Experience in Discharge planning for complex patient populations, no UR piece to the role
- Potential to plan discharge to a variety of settings including home, home with home health, SNF, LTAC, hospice, etc.
- Will work in tandem with Social Work team
- UMMC is the only level 1 trauma hospital in the state so will receive a variety of complex patients and those with no other hospital options
- Will directly report to the Social Work Manager
