DescriptionWhat You Will Do
- Assess, develop, implement and evaluate Music Therapy interventions to address the age-specific psychosocial and physiological needs of hospitalized adults and their families 40%
- Plan and implement music therapy groups for inpatients/outpatients/staff 40%
- Mentor practicum students/volunteers as appropriate 5%
- Professional growth, information sharing and collaboration 10%
- Create and implement innovative ways to expand visibility, research, accountability in the music therapy profession 5%
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
