Job Description
The selected candidate will join a state-of-the art subspecialty Cardiothoracic Imaging section. The department is committed to excellence in imaged-based clinical care. We are a large University Hospital with an expanding academic main Campus and community hospital divisions. The University hospitals health system performs more than 1.2 million exams per year, with 100 radiologists. We are an active teaching program with 40 residents and 9 fellows.
\nWe have a growing cardiac surgery division with 6 cardiac surgeons with an active TAVI, LVAD and heart transplant program. We have a collaborative cardiac imaging program with the department of cardiology, and a growing cardiac MRI program utilizing 1.5 and 3T cardiac magnets. In addition to conventional clinical MRI imaging, we have growing efforts including exercise/stress MRI, and adult congenital MRI. We have performed over 50,000 coronary artery calcium scores, with active ambulatory and growing ER chest pain program with coronary CTA with CT FFR.
\nOur Thoracic Surgery program has 5 active thoracic surgeons, a growing lung cancer program and active lung transplant division. We have a growing lung cancer screening program with our pulmonologists and have over 5000 enrolled patients.
\nWe have active research programs with multivendor research relationships in Digital Radiography, Spectral/ Dual Energy CT, and MRI. We have active human and small animal cardiac MR research program with 6 cardiac capable MRIs at our main and community campuses .There are active and robust research programs in AI for lung cancer and cardiac disease with our Biomedical Engineering colleagues.
