What You Will Do
- Provides communication support for diet office/tray line.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
- Processes patient meal orders.
- Ability to guide patients in choosing meal items per therapeutic diet needs.
- Provides age-specific care to patients aged child through the elderly.
- Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
- Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
- Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
- Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures related to patient safety including proper food safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Equivalent / GED (Preferred)
- 1 years Customer service experience (Required) and
- 1 years Food service experience (Preferred)
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (Required proficiency)
- Ability to communicate professionally over the phone (Required proficiency)
- Exhibits strong organizational skills and work ethic (Required proficiency)
- Intermediate computer skills – ability to use various software and applications (Required proficiency)
