This Medical Assistant position plays a vital role in facilitating unit operations by managing patient flow. As a front desk specialist, you will be responsible for all front desk duties specific to the department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information, and other patient documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate unit operations by managing patient flow.
- Perform all front desk duties specific to the department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information, and other patient documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and procedures related to protected health information (PHI).
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
- 1 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Able to organize changing work assignments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
