Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Service Representative in our Primary Care department, you will be responsible for accurate and efficient patient registration, procedure scheduling, charge transmittals, collections, and procurement. You will also be expected to utilize quality customer service techniques to ensure patient needs are met, maintain professional interpersonal skills with patients, physicians, and co-workers, and support department operations. Additionally, you will demonstrate leadership abilities by resolving issues, monitoring schedules, assisting staff/patients, and ensuring effective and efficient departmental workflow.
Additional Expectations
You will perform other duties as assigned, comply with all policies and standards, and abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
