What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPEECH THERAPIST position at University Hospitals?

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
  • Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
  • This speech therapist is part of the Home Care team.
  • This is a PRN position and will cover PTO, LOA and staffing shortages.
  • 100% travel to the patient's homes to provide care.
  • The territory will be Ashtabula and Geauga Counties.

    • Qualifications :

    • ODL / Car insurance and reliable transportation.
    • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Therapy program
    • Licensed by the State of Ohio to practice Speech-Language Therapy.
    • Previous home care experience preferred.
    • Experienced preferred.
    • Primarily Adult rehab with some cross coverage of pediatrics.
