Responsibilities:
University Instructors (UI) is seeking dynamic face-to-face teachers and tutors with a passion for supporting elementary and secondary students. In this role, under the direction of the University Instructors’ team, and the school district, you will partner with district educators to serve students.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
- Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices in English and math.
- Prepare for sessions and provide differentiated small group instruction.
- Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.
- Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.
- Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.
- Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education and Work Experience:
As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to have the following:
- Be eligible for a Provisional state teaching license in the state of Virginia
- Be local to the area
- Two years of experience in providing grades K-12 instruction.
