Job Description:
The Scheduler Team Lead assists with weekly departmental audits under the direction of the department supervisor. Reviews records for completeness and accuracy for reimbursements. Conducts pre-registration process and call audits. Reviews departmental reports and provides technical assistance and guidance in the processing of departmental issues, ensures compliance at all levels and promotes positive guest services.
Required Skills:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance plan requirements, which can change frequently.
- Ability to apply computer skills effectively, through knowledge of Microsoft Office software to create word documents, power point presentations, excel spreadsheets, matrixed and graphs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD9 coding.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Proficient knowledge of commercial and managed care payors and terminology.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and works well under pressure.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
Three years scheduling and registration experience in a healthcare setting required.
License/ Registration/Certification:
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred.

Schedule: Full Time, Days, Monday, Wednesday 8a-6p; Tuesday, Thursday 7a-5p; Friday 8a-12p
