Job Summary
Under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Administrative Director Trauma Program, directs, coordinates, monitors, promotes and evaluates in all the components of the Burn Program in collaboration with the Medical Directors and Managers. Ensures compliance with standards, policies and requirements of governmental and regulatory agencies such as the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Burn Association (ABA) for designation and verification as a Burn Center.

Work Experience
Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency, Critical Care and/or Trauma. Strong background in performance improvement initiatives impacting patient quality care and experience with caring for burn patients preferred.
License/Registration/Certification
1. Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas required.
2. Current CPR training required.
3. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) are required within 6 months of being in the position.
4. Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN) required within 2 years of being in the position.
Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master degree in Nursing preferred.
Completion of the TNCC/ATCN within 1 year of being in the department is required.
