Job Description:
The Scheduler for Invasive Services provides active coordination of the department schedule for maximum effectiveness and efficient use of services. Provides schedule access to Physicians for their convenience and preference of time available or first come first serve bases. Calls Physicians the day before cases are scheduled to verify sequence preferred. Completes charges for Anesthesia. Audits records for completion of correct nursing data. Assists with development of processes for conversion to computer system(s).

- Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and works well under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to use judgment in problem solving.
- Basic knowledge of services, procedures and equipment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Familiar with physical anatomy and anatomical body parts preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical procedures, patient medical records and clinical documentation preferred.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, procedure length and average case length for each physician to provide the best fit for all cases in the elective schedule.

One year of experience in registration or scheduling required.

Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent.
