Job Description:
Transcribe machine recorded and/or hand written Pathology reports. File and keep a record of the work transcribed, and place original copy of the report on patient''s chart.
Required Skills:
1. Knowledge of medical terminology.
2. Proficient in transcription, use of personal computer.
3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
5. Typing at least 50 wpm.
Required Experience:
A. Work Experience:
Two years transcriptions experience or equivalent training.
B. License/Registration/Certification:
Prefer certification as a Medical Transcriptions.
C. Education and Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of program of study in medical transcription (OR) equivalent experience.
