Overview:
University of Tennessee, Outpatient Neuro Interventional office is seeking a dedicated and hardworking precert coordinator.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Obtain precertification from health insurance for medical procedures, treatments, and medications to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance company and patients to verify coverage, resolve authorization issues and maintain compliance and regulatory standards.
Monitor and track authorization request to ensure approvals are received before services are provided.
Requirements:
- High school diploma- precertification experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- 2 years of Experience working in a medical office is preferred
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
