The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is dedicated to promoting a culture of learning through effective teaching practices, deeper student engagement, and fostering university-wide partnerships. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a key support role, providing direct assistance to faculty, developing engaging, high-quality online course materials, and managing faculty requests and communication within the department. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our online and hybrid learning environments. The right candidate will join our team of creative, motivated, and highly-skilled designers and support professionals in a collaborative, innovation-centered work environment.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will bring a collaborative spirit and a passion for supporting effective teaching and learning. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and a willingness to learn new technologies are highly valued. Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with instructors and colleagues are essential. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, on-campus, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
