Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist with overnight sleep studies, including preparing participants for sleep monitoring and ensuring adherence to study protocols.
- Perform clinical assessments, collect vital signs, and monitor participants throughout the study session.
- Administer study-related interventions as required and document all procedures accurately.
- Ensure compliance with research protocols, institutional policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in data collection, entry, and management to ensure high-quality study documentation.
- Collaborate with the research team, principal investigators, and study staff to maintain study integrity.
- Provide patient education regarding study procedures and address participant concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of study-related activities and assist in preparing reports for investigators.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Alabama.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical research protocols.
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
- Comfortable working overnight shifts as required by the study.
- Hours: Part-time, with overnight shifts required based on study needs.
- Environment: Clinical research setting involving direct patient interaction.
- Duration: Temporary position based on the study timeline.
