What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLINICAL DATA ANALYST position at University of Alabama, Birmingham?
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Clinical Data Analyst for the Department of Hematology and Oncology. In this position the data analyst will conduct quantitative analysis on ongoing research projects. They will also conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of research data including reviewing interview data and data collected through external sources. Additionally, they will translate data into easy-to-read format for internal and external stakeholders as well as present data at meetings and events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Handles data quality assurance and performs data cleaning
- Managing study database (Microsoft access)
- Running weekly reports from database
- Basic to advanced level data analysis from large datasets (univariate, multivariate, regression analyses)
- Assist in preparation of figures and tables for scientific manuscripts and presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary range: $43,890.00 - $50,000
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Public Health, Statistics or a related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
