EDUCATION COORDINATOR

This position will provide support to the Residency Office within the Surgery Department. The role will be responsible for coordinating the activities and operations of the Residency Office within the department.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Overall coordination of activities and operations for education program: Surgery Residency.
- To coordinate the activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group (e.g. medical students, residency programs, fellowship programs).
- To maintain records, schedules and program information.
- To perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing and outgoing clerkships, residents, medical students or fellows.
- Including maintaining the program and trainee databases as well as accurately and timely sharing all information related to educational programs, meetings, schedules and orientation to trainees through web sites and electronic or written communication.
- Coordinates and documents attendance for faculty and trainee attendance to any lectures, meetings, conferences, or retreats.
- Will also plan and organize special events related to the education program such as orientations, graduations, guest speakers, or any other formal events.
- Will collaborate with Chief Residents and/or the Registrar to create/update/change and annual rotation schedule and any monthly changes.
- Emphasis on maintain important and accurate education program documentation including Trainee recruitment and orientation, accreditation site visits, and reports.
- Will proctor and administer exams, calculate records, and submit grades.
- Will also complete the trainee and faculty evaluations including distribution, collecting, and inputting the data.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Hourly Range: $19.80-$32.15
Education
Associate's degree in a related field
And two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement
