Serves as an educational liaison and provides oversight for various projects initiated by internal organizations or departments. Related activities may include recruiting, establishing relationships, and making presentations to various internal departments and external organizations. Develops and submits an annual plan for outreach activities. Conducts department-specific outreach meetings. Assists in developing proposals for projects. Develops and revises educational materials for departments, vendors, and the community. In conjunction with the Director, develops and reviews mini surveys to solicit input related to training and core curriculum effectiveness. Maintains updated educational information on the departmental website.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serves as an Educational Liaison for projects initiated by an internal organization. This could include recruiting, establishing relationships, and making presentations with various internal departments and external organizations
- Implements and designs programs with internal and external organizations
- Represents UAB at external events
- Conducts department-specific outreach meetings
- Serves in a leadership role in expanding distance learning opportunities, in audio and video conferencing, and other broadcast mediums
- Assists in developing proposals for projects as needed
- Develops educational materials for departments, vendors, and the community
- Develops and reviews mini surveys to solicit input related to training and core curriculum effectiveness
- Performs other duties as assigned
Salary Wage: $52,555-$85,400
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed with a Driver's License from the State of Alabama required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer prior experience in community outreach and experience working with minority populations; or prior experience in development of recruitment and retention educational materials, community outreach activities, and training activities; or three years of experience in program coordination or other relevant administrative support.

- Must possess superior organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the institution, including study participants, physicians, medical staff, and research staff. Accuracy and attention to detail, dependability, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
