What are the responsibilities and job description for the GRANT RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION POSTAWARD-SHP position at University of Alabama, Birmingham?
Closely monitors all SHP grants to ensure that spending aligns with budgets and sponsor guidelines and that all effort is captured and accurately reported. Ensures progress reports are submitted accurately and in a timely fashion. Works closely with investigators to develop and maintain Other Support and Biosketch documents. Works with Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and cooperating institutions to establish subawards. Works with clinical trials teams to manage finances. Serves as point of contact on all subawards. Reivews all notices of award and revises budgets as needed. Maintains databases of active awards, faculty effort and publications used for reporting in SHP Dean's Office.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and track grant account expenditures, perform labor distributions and funding source changes and maintain database of all active grants.
- Ongoing award processing to include progress reports, manage financial reporting and financial reporting of large, multi-project grants.
- Industry clinical trials to include invoicing, monitoring staff and PI efforts, billing using sponsor-specific software and tracking expenses.
- Works closely with SHP grants manager on maintaing SHP grants information for reporting.
- Serves as point of contact for subawards.
- Updates Other Support and Biosketch documents for investigators to ensure sponsor guidelines are closely followed.
- Revises budget to match notice of award.
- Creates pending and at-risk accounts.
- Liaison between other departments to ensure efforts are appropriately charged.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $52,555 - $85,400
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and three (3) years of grant financial administration experience required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
