UAB is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Investigator to conduct, manage, and document various investigations in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner. The role includes investigations related to:
- Discrimination and harassment pursuant to Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX
- Retaliation regarding protected activity
- Dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking
- Violations of UAB policies and procedures
- Other regulatory matters
As an Investigator, you will play a key role in the University's response efforts related to redressing concerns of discriminatory harassment based on gender, sex, pregnancy, race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, veteran status, and other legally protected categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations in line with UAB policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of investigation findings.
- Collaborate with relevant University departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support UAB’s mission to foster a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Salary Range: $57,940 - $73,000
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Higher Education Administration, Social Sciences, Counseling Education, Employment Law, or a related field required.
- Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
- Note: Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
