Job Summary: The University of Alabama System is receiving applications for the position of Risk Management Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, this role is dedicated to supporting the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) effort for the University of Alabama System (System). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management principles and practices, particularly within a higher education context, and will work collaboratively with the institutions comprising the System to assist in implementing the ERM program. Periodic in-state travel is required.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- 3 - 5 years of risk management experience
- Master's degree
- Professional certification in risk management (e.g., CRM, ARM, RIMS-CRMP)
- Experience in higher education
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- ERM Platform Administration
- Maintain risk register and workflow within ERM platform
- Assist in the development and administration of risk assessments
- Reporting and presentation preparation
- Assist in preparation of ERM reporting for executive leadership and the Board of Trustees
- Assist in preparation of presentations for various stakeholders
- Emerging risk research
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data for emerging risks faced by the System
- Risk library development
- Assist in developing and maintaining a risk library that details targeted risks and the System's response to those risks
- Key risk indicator/Key performance indicator development
Final salary will be commensurate with the overall qualifications of the selected final candidate.
