Job Summary: The Recreation Assistant provides assistance with customer service, event management, teaching, and general patron issues.
Additional Department Summary: Provides customer service. Sets up and takes down for special events. Opens and closes the facilities. Maintains knowledge of policies, procedures, and membership information. Handles monetary transactions with limited supervision. Serves as a lifeguard and assists in the recruitment and training of student lifeguards.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High schoold diploma or GED and some recreation program, customer service, and/or patron relations experience. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student-oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.
