Position is eligible for hybrid work subject to University policy.

Job Summary : The Systems Analyst II plans and configures low- to moderate-complexity software systems to support the administrative function of the University under moderate supervision. This may include departmental and moderately critical applications. Assists in the development of processes. Creates workflows. Installs, configures, supports, and maintains integrations for vendor-supplied software systems. Works on a team and collaborates with specific departments, colleges, and customers around campus. Supports their needs, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and responding to their questions and concerns in a timely manner. May provide guidance and training to entry-level Systems Analysts.

Additional Department Summary : Works as part of the Departmental Application Support team, which primarily supports and develops processes within the Technolutions Slate CRM. The team helps to support the following campus partners : Enrollment Management, Graduate School, Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE), and Capstone Center for Student Success (CCSS). Acts as both the primary and secondary support person for various processes across the instances of Slate that OIT supports, as well as supporting various other applications and processes.

Required Minimum Qualifications : Master's degree; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of IT system analysis experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of IT system analysis; OR High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of IT system analysis.

Skills and Knowledge : Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work with customer groups and users of varying degrees of technical ability and understanding. Ability to manage work tasks and follow through to completion. Effective time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Troubleshooting skills to analyze, track, and resolve issues. Ability to implement departmental third-party applications, analyzing installation and configuration documentation, to successfully install and take on support for an application. Some understanding of relational databases. Ability to write and analyze SQL queries and reports with Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL. Ability to analyze table data structures and patterns in the data to gain insights.

Preferred Qualifications : Two (2) years of experience in relevant IT fields, such as development and maintenance of software applications, relational database management systems, computer programming, web development, or system administration. Experience supporting moderately complex systems and troubleshooting application issues. Experience supporting or working with higher education administrative applications and tools, such as Technolutions Slate, or similar CRM product. Base knowledge of managing Windows Server applications, including IIS management and configuration and a base knowledge of Linux commands.
