Alaska Sea Grant Administrative Assistant

Alaska Sea Grant is seeking a half-time administrative assistant for our downtown Anchorage office. This position will perform procurement, fiscal, and coordination of Anchorage-based office space, meetings and special events.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize fiscal management responsibilities. Solid knowledge of accounting practices and experience with electronic fiscal software used in a university setting, including spreadsheets, data management systems,
Ability to analyze situations and solve problems independently. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to establish and maintain files and recordkeeping systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus in Anchorage. This is a part-time, 20 hours per week, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
