UAA Career Services is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and positive individual to assist in managing the Seawolf Career Closet. This student will have the opportunity to exercise creativity and take the lead in developing promotional materials, organizing clothing drives, sorting donations, and curating professional outfits for students. Additionally, they will play a key role in maintaining and organizing the closet to ensure it runs smoothly.

This position involves managing the Seawolf Career Closet, organizing donations, curating professional outfits, and maintaining an inviting space. Responsibilities include creating promotional materials, providing customer service to students and alumni, assisting with events like clothing drives, and identifying potential organizational support. The role also includes participating in Career Services promotions, providing administrative support, and assisting with special projects as needed.
To thrive in this role, candidates must have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to provide professional and courteous service. Strong time management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the initiative to work independently are essential. Additionally, maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are key to success in this position. Skills with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite along with the ability to provide customer service in-person, via phone or email will be needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must have the following requisites: 1) They must be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; 2) Have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA); 3) Student enrolled in non-traditional programs of study will be considered eligible for student employment with the approval of the Senior Student Services officer. An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.

This position is open to undergraduate students only.
This is a Student Assistant 2 position, non-exempt, $12.03/hour, located on the UA campus in Anchorage, Alaska. Average working hours will be 10-15 hours a week.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
