Do you have an eye for detail, a knack for administrative work, and an interest in UA HR faculty hiring and evaluation processes? If so, the Faculty Services Professional position serving the UAA College of Health might be the perfect role for you. This position works closely with our HR team and the UAA Office of Academic Affairs to process a wide range of personnel and evaluation actions involving faculty according to established policies and guidelines.

To thrive in this role, an employee will need to interpret policies and guidelines, schedule and manage projects by working backwards from established deadlines, and have an extreme eye for detail and the ability to produce error-free work in volume. An employee will need to thoroughly understand UA and UAA faculty hiring and personnel action processes and collective bargaining agreement and faculty evaluation terms. Additionally, an employee will need to be skilled at maintaining effective working relationships by exercising good judgment and engaging in excellent professional written and verbal communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible experience in an environment related to faculty affairs, human resources, or compliance professions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical skills: demonstrated experience working with spreadsheets, document templates, and workflow processes, etc.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Goose Lake campus in Anchorage, Alaska, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations.. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
