The School Psychology program in the Department of Psychology is seeking a motivated individual to join our stellar program team as Program Support Specialist. This is an exciting time to join the team for the implementation of this new graduate program - the first School Psychology program in the state! The Program Support Specialist will be responsible for a variety of activities including direct support to students and faculty, and administrative support for the program. The School Psychology program is a new graduate program with the first cohort starting in Fall 2025.

To thrive in this role the employee will work well with others, and be teachable, flexible, and independently motivated. A successful employee will bring strong interpersonal and customer service skills to the job. The employee will be proficient in a variety of computer software applications, particularly processing, spreadsheets, and databases as well as skills required for maintaining grant records and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Knowledge of UAA Policies and Procedures; Experience in an education setting; Experience using Banner, OnBase and UAOnline; Experience with grant management or grant support.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, AK, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a part-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience. This position will work 20 hours a week.
