Summary of Job Duties :
Provide subject specific tutoring assistance while promoting effective study strategies. Tutors will work closely with staff and participate as a team member to improve student success and retention. Tutors are hired for various courses and disciplines. The position reports to the Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- An academic level of second-semester freshman is required.
- Must have a grade of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale) in the courses that will be tutored.
- Must be available a minimum of 10 hours a week.
- Must be a current UAFS student.

Work Schedule
Tutors will work maximum of 20 hours during office hours Monday through Friday. Choose your own hours. The Gordon Kelley Academic Success Center (ASC) is open five days a week with hours of operation varying from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Actual work schedule will depend on the demand for the courses, time availability, and the needs of the students.
