Summary of Job Duties :
Working with the Writing Studio Coordinator and an additional Writing Studio GA, the Student Success Center Writing Studio Graduate Assistant will assist with supervision and administration of Writing Studio daily operations, marketing and outreach initiatives, and research and evaluation of writing support programming.
Responsibilities include : Assisting with Writing Studio daily operation, including consultant supervision, scheduling, and training, as well as conducting writing consultations with students as needed. Organizing outreach and marketing campaigns, including communication via Newswire, email, social media, and the Writing Studio website. Managing the Writing Studio’s workshop programming, including co-designing and presenting researched content, training writing consultants as presenters and co-creators, and coordinating scheduling. Assisting with faculty and staff collaborations via research, communication, resource creation, program assessment, and logistical coordination.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Position begins approximately May 12, 2025.
Twelve-month graduate assistant positions require 3 hours of summer session enrollment.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Enrollment in a master's degree program at the University of Arkansas
Preferred Qualifications :
At least one semester's experience teaching or working in an academic support setting such as tutoring services, a supplemental instruction program, peer academic coaching, and / or writing instruction
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and present findings to multiple stakeholders
Experience with marketing, collaboration, or relationship management
