Summary of Job Duties :
Seeking a highly motivated individual for a Post Doctoral Fellow position in Electrical Engineering. The associated projects including high power grid-tied converters development and validations. The Post Doctoral Fellow will mainly work on conducting research, helping in day-to-day operation of the lab, and assisting faculty to supervise graduate students.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications :
Minimum qualifications :
Ph.D. in electrical engineering from an accredited institution of higher education
Hands on experience in design, development and control of power electronic converters
Experience in PCB design, gate driver design and thermal management solutions
Demonstrated knowledge power electronic circuit theory such as dc / dc converters, inverters, and multi-level converters
Demonstrated knowledge of basic PWM control methods
Demonstrated knowledge and some experience with thermal management techniques in power electronic modules and assemblies
Preferred Qualifications :
Extensive experience with medium-power or medium-voltage power converters
Proficiency in the programing of DSP or CPLD or FPGA
Experience with wide bandgap, e.g., SiC or GaN, devices / modules for power electronic system applications
Experience in EMI filters design
Experience in printed circuit board layout
Experience in the design of medium- or high-frequency transformers
