Department: ICE | CVSL Cardiac Cath Lab IP C Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Cardiovascular Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab Technologist works under supervision and reads/interprets health record documentation to identify all diagnoses and procedures that affect the outpatient encounter visit in regards to Coronary, Electrophysiology, and Structural Procedures. This position will also be responsible for producing Cath Lab images for medical interpretation, but will not supervise other Cath Lab technologists Qualifications: Qualifications: HS/GED with professional license/certification registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice Assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures Performs related imaging procedures Analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation Assists with monitoring patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate Prepares equipment and supplies Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary Other duties may be assigned to this position Additional Information: Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience Required Documents to Apply: Proof of Veteran Status, Resume Optional Documents: Special Instructions to Applicants: Recruitment Contact Information: Please contact askrecruitment@uams.edu for any recruiting related questions.
