The College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Radiologic Imaging Sciences located at on the main campus in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, resourceful individual to contribute to an established, high-quality program that enjoys strong institutional and community support. The faculty position is a 12-month non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor or assistant professor. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications. The Program
Setting
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is the only academic health sciences university in the state of Arkansas and the state’s largest public employer with more than 10,000 employees in 73 of Arkansas’ 75 counties. UAMS offers 64 professional and specialist degree programs and certificates through our Colleges of Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Graduate School. The campus offers state of the art library and clinical simulation facilities. Programs at the campus are designed to promote inter-professional learning and clinical experiences.
The Division of Radiologic Imaging Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science degree. The program has locations in Little Rock on the UAMS campus and in Fayetteville on the UAMS Northwest campus. The program maintains clinical affiliations with numerous clinical facilities in central and northwest Arkansas.

Qualifications:
Required
- Current ARRT(R) certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or education discipline (Candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree will be expected to attain a master’s degree in education or health-related discipline)
- Minimum of 3 years recent post-certification clinical experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to identify and solve problems
Preferred
- 5 years recent post-certification clinical experience
- Master’s degree in an education or health-related discipline
- ARRT certification in mammography (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Experience with PACS
- Recent teaching experience in radiologic imaging sciences
- Experience with classroom and Web-based instruction
- Experience as a JRCERT-recognized Clinical Instructor
