Summary of Job Duties :

The Administrative Support Supervisor is responsible for coordinating office activities and managing Workday requisitions and related tasks for the School of Technical and Professional Studies. This role requires flexibility, the ability to maintain confidentiality, work both independently and as part of a team, and to work efficiently and productively. May require travel to other campus locations as needed.

Key duties include :

  • Research, prepare, examine, and verify documents and special reports, as well as develop, revise, and recommend administrative policies and procedures as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure that supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered in a timely manner and recorded properly in Workday.
  • Maintain meeting minutes as needed, schedule meetings, and follow up for advisory committee meetings and grant activities.
  • Assist with grant activity.
  • Supervise (2) work study students per semester
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance for grant and equipment orders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Minimum qualifications include :

  • Completion of some college level coursework
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience with Workday or related college management system
  • Supervisory experience with students
  • Demonstrates professionalism
  • Completion of professional development for work related duties
  • Team oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Preferred qualifications include :

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience working in a higher education environment
  • Demonstrates professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
