Summary of Job Duties

Students will conduct environmental monitoring to help expand the utility of using artificial intelligence (AI), augmented intelligence (wearable bioelectronics/non-medical electroceuticals) and other non-invasive modes of sensing for non-medical human monitoring. Data collected from rural and urban communities will be analyzed to develop new algorithms to process massive amounts of data associated with target chemicals, to enhance understanding of the impact of human activity in our environment. Student work during the academic year and summer will include training, placing sensors and recording data, attending weekly or bi-weekly lab meetings via Zoom or WebEx, participating in team-building, leadership, and research seminar activities with REU lab directors, postdocs, and 3rd and 4th-year.

Qualifications

University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff undergraduate student in good standing, with an interest in STEM related research.
