Summary of Job Duties

The Special Events Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of all employee appreciation, recognition initiatives and special events with a goal to enhance the culture; improve employee satisfaction and increase productivity of all members of Team UAMS. In addition, the manager will support the implementation of best practices and the adoption of high standards of excellence for internal/external event attendees and clients

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in the field of communications, business or related plus 3 Years Project Management Experience/customer relations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of special event experience

Special Knowledge, Abilities And Skills

  • Advanced in Website Design (WordPress), PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Advanced in livestream, virtual platforms

Additional Information

  • Assess, create, implement and manage employee appreciation initiatives.
  • Develop, plan and manage special events, which includes pre-planning, problem-solving, logistics, directing event set-up, advising, communicating with staff and organizing vendors for events including but not limited to groundbreaking/building openings, floor/building dedications, virtual events, Board of Trustees meetings, events at various UAMS locations across the state and institutional celebrations/events.
  • Lead the development and implementation of all employee appreciation, recognition initiatives and special events with a goal to enhance the culture; improve employee satisfaction and increase productivity of all members of Team UAMS.
  • In addition, the manager will support the implementation of best practices and the adoption of high standards of excellence for internal/external event attendees and clients. Oversee, update and manage the Special Events Policy and related forms.

Salary Information
