Required Education and/or Experience:
Masters Degree in Physics or a related field.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Ph.D. degree in Physics or related field;
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in teaching introductory physics courses.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching 6-9 credit hours per semester in physics;
Holding two regular office hours per week for students;
Preparing and presenting introductory physics courses;
Administering appropriate tests;
Evaluating student outcomes, preparing, administering, and grading assignments;
Assigning final grades.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Committed to student success as demonstrated in your prior teaching experience and/or mentoring;
Knowledge and use of evidence-based teaching practices, including active learning.
Expertise in Physics topics;
Ability to use various computer software programs (ex: Gmail, Blackboard, MSWord, Zoom, Excel).
