Summary of Job Duties:
The primary responsibility of the Advisor and Academic Services Coordinator is to advise prospective and current students; recruit new students; process correspondence and course registration; oversee admission decisions and processes; manage graduation requirements for all students; and grow and maintain the program site in a sound and sustainable way. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: advising graduate domestic and international students throughout their program until graduation, making admissions decisions, handling all graduation checks, recruiting new students, maximizing session enrollment, ensuring smooth operation of the site office as a full-service student interface, supporting applicants, and communicating with staff and faculty to assist with student success.This is a one-year appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, education administration, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

At least three years of relevant experience in education administration, business administration, or a related setting
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience working in a higher education setting as a student advisor or in a position with knowledge of university systems

Experience working with international students
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
-
Knowledge of the work-related subject area, computers, and Microsoft Office software applications

Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports

Ability to research and analyze related work program information

Ability to develop, recommend, interpret and apply policies and procedures

Ability to communicate with staff, faculty, and students
