Required Education and/or Experience:
- Masters in Nursing;
- Recent clinical and teaching experience in a successful accredited nursing program;
- Current unencumbered AR or multi-compact states RN licensure is required.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field or current enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred;
- Teaching experience and recent experience in nursing practice or nursing education in the area(s) of program need is preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach, advise, mentor and evaluate students.
- Participate in service to the university, community and profession.
- Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activities.
- Conduct clinical and classroom experiences designed to meet student and program learning outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create, maintain, and track detailed databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff, faculty, and outside agencies.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to drive and operate a vehicle.
- Ability to travel within the state.
