REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field;
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible financial management experience within a university, government organization, multi-national corporation, or not-for-profit organization;
Experience with budget and finance development and analysis, budget model development, and staff supervision;
Strong financial systems background with proven experience with enterprise financial reporting systems and computer applications;
Excellent written and oral communications skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, government, and financial officials.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Hold an advanced degree, such as a Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or be a licensed certified public accountant (CPA);
Have eight (8) or more years of progressive financial management experience in a higher educational setting including at least two years of successful supervisory experience;
Have extensive experience with client-server-based financial information systems, preferably Workday and/or Ellucian Banner;
Demonstrate experience with long-range budget and financial planning.

Strong team leadership and management skills;
Demonstrated planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
Strong quantitative and statistical modeling skills;
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment;
Ability to understand long-term goals and broader planning parameters;
Ability to develop budgeting policies and priorities within established guidelines and manage and evaluate budgeting projects.
