Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Coordinator serves a critical role within the teacher preparation model, coordinating data collection and partnership governance with multiple school districts, mentor teachers, and site coordinators. The coordinator also makes and oversees field experience and residency/internship placements. The position requires working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and the community, teaching courses as assigned, and participating in university and community service. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's Degree in education-related field;
  • Teaching Experience.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Current Teacher Certification;
  • Experience in higher education and K-12 settings;
  • Terminal degree in an education-related field;
  • Experience coaching preservice or novice teachers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with students, faculty, and school district personnel to select high quality; mentor teachers and place students for field experience and internship;
  • Coordinate District, School, and Mentor Teacher connections, including keeping updated partnership records and maintaining placement information;
  • Conduct quarterly mentor teacher trainings;
  • Organize quarterly governance meetings and ensure timely and accurate data collection and sharing;
  • Oversee Site Coordinators;
  • Teach at least one course in fall, spring and summer;
  • Participate in university and community service;
  • Work positively with faculty, staff, students, and the community;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to lead teams;
  • Ability to coordinate across stakeholders.
