GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Develop and implement strategic and operation planning goals and objectives consistent with the College and library missions.
*Direct the Library teams with a strong commitment to learning, student success, and service excellence.
*Lead in the understanding and acquiring of library information technologies.
*Promote the Library's role as a valued partner in the UA-PTC community.
*Manage the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of library personnel.
*Oversee the management of all collections, integrated library systems (ILS), and institutional archives.
*Forecast, justify, manage and analyze budgets and financial data.
*Represent the Library in consortia and local, regional and national professional organizations.
*Maintain the College's shared governance website, calendar, and archives.
*Collaborates with Facilities team to ensure all library spaces are inviting, functional, accessible, well-maintained and conducive to learning.
*Ensure that best practices and research inform decision-making and planning.
*Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Library and Information Science or related field with experience working in a library setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years' experience in an academic library with at least 1-2 of those years with progressive professional responsibility in leadership. Community college library experience. Knowledge of multiple units of the library, library services and systems, specialized areas of library operations, and library-related organizations. Demonstrated program vision, effective management skills, and technological awareness. Relevant experience managing archives or special collections. Ability to coordinate technical processing operation and utilize library computer software and applications. Evidence of excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
