- Performs and documents preventative maintenance on and sterilizes lab equipment.
- Maintains patient folder system including collating and entering new reports, setting up new folders, pulling folders needed for testing and interpretation, filing completed folders, and archiving inactive files for storage.
- Communicates with clinics, physicians and labs regarding specimen integrity issues and/or reporting critical values. Enters results from referral labs into the patient chart.
- Orders and prepares specimens to send to Reference Labs. Answers questions pertaining to orders, requisitions, and special collection or shipping instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
