Qualifications :
An earned Doctorate in nutrition, dietetics, community nutrition, nutrition education, food science, family and consumer science, or a related field is required by the date of hire.
Required skills include the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience orally and in writing, and a commitment to fostering a diverse, collaborative, and collegial work environment. The person hired for this position must be able to drive a motor vehicle, lift and move equipment, and manipulate visual displays and other equipment with their fingers. The flexibility to travel throughout the state is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in cooperative extension, certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and previous experience with family and consumer science and nutrition or dietetics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles & techniques of adult education.
