Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have lived experience of pain and/or opioid use disorder (i.e., suffered from a painful condition that lasted longer than the normal time of healing and required continuing care)

Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient/Peer Support & Education:
- Support: Help patients set recovery goals, create plans, and access resources like housing, childcare, employment, and medical services. Guide them in overcoming obstacles, connecting with recovery communities, and building empowerment skills.
- Patient Education: Provide information on self-help groups, life skills, wellness, and recovery strategies. Share personal recovery experiences to inspire and teach problem-solving techniques.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with treatment teams, families, and communities to support patient recovery goals. Communicate patient concerns and participate in team meetings.
Documentation: Record patient sessions, complete questionnaires, and maintain follow-up notes for education, contacts, and inpatient visits.
Trainings: Participate in SAMHSA-supported clinical trainings and educational programs to stay updated on recovery practices.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
