Registered Nurse (RN) that will provide direct patient care. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions. The RN will work with the individual patient, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or Diploma RN, with Major: Registered
Nurse.
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
Valid Registered Nursing License

Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Performs routine and specialized patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in patient condition.
Administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology-related treatments as prescribed.
Monitors for adverse reactions to treatments and interventions and respond appropriately.
Collaborates with oncologists, medical professionals, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educates patients and their families on cancer diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and coping strategies.
Serves as a resource for patients and their families to address any concerns or questions related to their care.
Provides education on chemotherapy regimens, radiation therapy, medication management, and self-care techniques.
Advises patients on pain management, nutrition, and emotional support to optimize their quality of life during treatment.
Assists with pre- and post-procedure teaching, ensuring that patients and families are prepared for procedures such as biopsies, infusions, or surgeries.
Administers intravenous (IV) medications, chemotherapy agents, and supportive therapies in accordance with established protocols and policies.
Assists in procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, or other diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as required.
Maintains knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices in oncology care.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with UAMS policies, including nursing notes, medication administration records, and treatment plans.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
May perform other duties as assigned.
