Summary of Job Duties:The Research Associate will report to the Director of the Impact Center at the Clinton School of Public Service. This position is for one-year and responsibilities include conducting mixed-methods evaluation for and in collaboration with community partners and other stakeholders. The position operates within a community-engaged research framework,where evaluation is done "with", not "to" communities and projects should be rigorous and systematic while also being flexible and supportive to the needs of community partners.
This position will design and implement evaluation plans for partner organizations (evaluation design, logic model creation, quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis, results dissemination, report creation, etc.). Assist with project management, including developing scopes of work and tracking and reporting milestones. Create actionable and utilization-focused client-facing products, such as reports and presentations. Work closely with community partners and clients. Submit project findings to scholarly academic journals and present at academic conferences. Present findings to broad audiences of stakeholders. Work with the university's Institutional Review Board, as needed. Mentor and supervise teams of graduate students on evaluation projects.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in public service, public health, public administration, social and behavioral sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience conducting applied research and evaluation, including research design, logic model creation, data collection, and analysis
Demonstrated understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Experience presenting findings from research and/or evaluation in academic research settings and to community partners
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Public Service degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year experience in community-engaged health research and/or health
Experience with program evaluation, using a variety of evaluation methods, and tailored reporting for a range of stakeholders.
Experience engaging with community partners and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams of faculty, partners, and students
Experience teaching, or working in higher education
