Under general direction of the Associate Director, provides simple to moderate fiscal, analytical, administrative support to the Resource Planning and Management Unit.
As a Financial Analyst 2 : Professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments, projects, tasks of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. Use practical and strategic judgment to select appropriate methods and techniques for determining effective solutions. Offer analytical support for budgeting, financial, and resource analysis initiatives. Assist with business process analysis, strategic planning, budget development, and financial procedures. Demonstrate Intermediate knowledge of industry practices, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
Key skills include uses of professional concepts. Applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve various issues. Works on problems of limited to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Contacts are primarily internal to the department but may also be external.
This position is a contract appointment that is 100% fixed, and ends two years from date of hire with the possibility of extension if funding permits.
The home department for this position is Resource Planning & Management. While this position normally is based in Oakland, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.
Pay Scale : $31.95 / hour to $43.87 / hour
