The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Project Scientist in the laboratory of Professor Chang Liu. The duties of the position are to 1) carry out projects developing systems for rapid antibody evolution (80%), and 2) coordinate collaborative projects with labs at UCI and other institutions involving antibody evolution and engineering for biological applications such as therapeutic protein discovery (20%). The initial appointment will be full-time for a 24-month period.
Requirements: A PhD in biomedical engineering or related field; research experience in synthetic biology, yeast genetics, protein engineering, or related fields; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; and strong communication (oral and written) skills are required.
